Lake Tahoe - Nevada/California - United States.

Hello, there! Here again, this time to talk about a city and lake called Lake Tahoe, in the border of Nevada and California. Lake Tahoe is known to have all these different weathers all year long. It could be a hot lake-beach in the summer, or a snowy and cold mountain in the winter. I have never lived in Lake Tahoe, but I've been there at least four times. It is three hours from San Francisco by car, so that is why I loved to go there. It is great to go any time of the year. It just depends on what kind of weather you are looking for. I like summer and winter a lot, so I am just fine there any time. But if you do not like too cold or too hot, you should better go either on spring or autumn time. For snowboarders and skiers, you will have a lot of fun in the winter.

I have skied on Heavenly twice, and it was my pleasure. It is a beautiful place to ski and there are a lot of young people around that part of Lake Tahoe, rather than families with a bunch of kids. It was in Heavenly that I almost broke my leg by not doing the pizza-shape form with the skis. Be very careful when you go from a green track to a blue one, because when I did, I wasn't very careful and if it wasn't my luck, I would be very injured.

The first time I went to Lake Tahoe in the winter, I did not ski. I did, however, climbed up to Heavenly, at the first station(the highest point where non-skiers can go to). If you don't want to try any radical sports, I highly recommend you to go to the first station, because, as you can see in the picture, it is amazingly beautiful. You can see the whole Lake and parts of the city.


Me, upset about my clothing choice.

Since we're talking about my very first time in Lake Tahoe in the winter, I should say that if you are not very familiar with snow(like I was when I went there for the first time), you have to have good clothing and accessories. It is impossible to live without a lipstick, good boots, good pants and mainly: dress in layers. In this picture, you can see that I wasn't really prepared for the snow, and I suffered the consequences, since I had to go back to the hotel at least three times a day, to change clothes. Don't forget to prepare, or you're gonna freeze.


Emerald Bay.

Emerald Bay is a very beautiful place where you can see the little island in the middle of the lake. It is awesome in the winter or summer, and it looks like Switzerland a little bit. Hehehe.


Driving through the woods.

Lake Tahoe is a very nice place to drive. First, you will have to have a car, because everything is really far. But mainly, it is nice to wander around the woods and check out how much snow there is. Warning: you will probably have to put chains in your car if it's snowing hard. The first time I went, we spent more than 100 bucks for them. It was very snowy.


Squaw Valley.

The Squaw Valley is another skiing station. It is a very cool station too, just like Heavenly. I have been there just once, and had a lot of fun. I found it a little bit more confusing than Heavenly, though. But it sure is a must-do, if you like skiing.

Just a picture of the real thing. I started skiing because my mother helped me out with that. At first, I thought I wouldn't like it because I don't like falling down and being hurt. But it's easier than it looks. It's a speeding radical sport and it makes you feel in Heaven, just like the ski station. Hehehe. I will never stop skiing. Whenever I get the chance, I'll do it with my heart. Love it.


Casino in Lake Tahoe.

Ok, you gamblers! Let's talk about the casinos. There are some casinos in the part where Lake Tahoe is situated in Nevada. Of course it isn't as fun as Las Vegas, but there are one or two good casinos in Tahoe. Most of them are in hotels. They are fun, just like normal casinos. And it's only three hours from SF, which is good because you don't have to go to Las Vegas to play, if you like it.

Ok. Enough about snow and winter. Now let's put on our bikinis and let's go to the middle of the year. June! July! Sun! Hot weather! Lake Tahoe is a paradise in this time of the year. The water is cold as hell, but it's worth just splashing in that clear and beautiful water without any sharks! Hehehe. I highly recommend going, if you have the time.

Here's the viewer in the summer. Great place to go. This time of the year, it looks even more like Switzerland, because the snow stays on top of the mountains, but everything is clear and warm. It looks as if you're seeing those chocolate wraps from Lindt. Just amazing!


Tahoe is a great place to go any time of the year. I will always feel like going back. The times of the years are very specific and there's so much to do, you never get bored. Try it one day and you will know what I am talking about. It is like a dream. I love Tahoe.
